Senior Counsellor. Student Services. Full Time. Permanent.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Counsellor to lead and develop the College’s Counselling Service for students.
You will have a strong interest and drive to develop our Counselling service into a wider scope of support for students. We require an enthusiastic, creative and resourceful person who views change as an opportunity to help the service grow.
In this role will you will have line management responsibilities for a team of 3 counsellors and will balance this role between direct counselling support for students and developing a wider dynamic and responsive service for students.
You will be expected to work in partnership with our Mental Health and Wellbeing (ASPIRE) Coordinator to ensure students have a resourceful package of metal health and wellbeing support whilst at college. Including effective remote counselling provision.
You will have a counselling skill set alongside experience in developing services. Ideally you will have worked with young people and be prepared to work within a Further Education environment.
You should hold a Counselling Qualification to Advanced Diploma level with BACP accreditation, eligibility or UKCP.
